3Kms off the shore

1:20am AEST on Mon 14th July

More good news – Kaise is now about 3Kms off the shore which means 1½ to 2hrs away from finishing due to the currents and tides.

The whole crew from coach to support swimmer and family keep saying that Kaise is doing well and moved on to also enjoying pre-packed diced fruit salads in his feeds.  He’s feeling well, asking about his time and distance and even joking with the crew during the short feed breaks but still staying focussed.

At the final stretch Ryan will accompany him to the shore and a dingy alongside to snap photos as well as pass them the Australian flag once they’re on dry French land.

We’ll also surely get a blog entry with Kaise’s words once he’s back on the boat warming up in the heated and carpeted room below the deck.

Cheers,

Hanna
